Patibhan Ariyadej
Patibhan Ariyadej graduated from Chulalongkorn University, Faculty of Engineering in 1972
then received the fellowship from UNDP - United Nations to continue Master Program in Civil
Engineering in 1977. He completed his Master Program in Civil Engineering from Syracuse
University, New York, USA in 1978.
During 1972 - 1990, he served the government at Thai Industrial Standards Institute as a
Standards Engineer engaging in promoting standardization and quality control of the
construction materials in Thailand. Later on, he created the ASEAN Industrial Standards and
Quality Assurance Program with European Economic Community (EEC) and obtained assistance
from European Union (EU) to promote Standardization and Quality Assurance activities in
ASEAN countries. He was appointed as Director to the project.
During 1990-1998 he worked for the Metropolitan Concrete Co., Ltd. (MCON) as a Factory
Director engaging in the production of concrete products such as prestressed concrete piles,
girders, etc. and was appointed as Construction Project Manager for Bromvivat Co., Ltd., the
mother company of MCON. Some major achievements were Ramindra - Ekamai Road Project
(Contract 4B) owned by Bangkok Metropolitan Authority and Ramindra-Atnarong Expressway
System Project (Contract 10) owned by Expressway and Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand.
The work involved bridge and civil works construction.
Apart from his expertise in the field of infra structure, he also an expert in building construction
area such as factory and building construction projects for Thai Royal Frozen Foods Co., Ltd. He
later joined PBL Group and was appointed as Project Director in 2004. The responsibility
involved various highrise and infra structure projects both in Thailand and abroad. Some major
achievements were Riverside Tower (42 storeys/180,000 sq.m), Athenee Residence (38
storeys/55,000 sq.m), Empire Place highrise building (45 storeys/55,000 sq.m), The New Thai
Government Office Center (600,000 sq.m), Bangpakong Interchange & Bridge at Motorway
Route No.7, Nam Ngum 2 Hydroelectric Power Project in Laos, Hamad Medical City (2006
Asian Games Complex/650,000 sq.m) in Qatar, The Swan Bridge in Cambodia. |
