Kritchaipraseart Worapongwasu
Kritchaipraseart Worapongwasu was born on October 21, 1948 in Bangkok, Thailand. He got his
B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from University of Texas, Arlington, Texas, USA in 1980 while had
been working in USA for 14 years.
He started his working career in USA as a designer of tool for down hole equipment for oil rigs
with SIE Wireline Products Co., Ltd. in Benbrook, Texas, USA.
In 1983, he returned back to Thailand and started his civil engineering construction career as a
site engineer for Vivat Construction Co., Ltd. supervising the construction of Fishery
Department facilities in various provinces. Joining Chor Karn Chang Co., Ltd. in 1989 as a
project engineer executing and monitoring of Suklothaithammathiraj University building No. III
construction then Nakano Co., Ltd, a Japanese base construction company, responsible for same
in the construction of NAS-TOA a stainless steel pipe factory.
In 1991, he worked for Christiani & Neilsen (Thai) Co., Ltd. (Public) in various construction
fields such as Petroleum Industry (Tank farms for PTT Authority of Thailand, Rayong Refinery
plant, Star Refinery plant), Factory (Thainox cold rolled stainless steel sheet), Hotel (Baan
Taling Ngarm Resort, All Seasons Place).
He was promoted a deputy project manager and later on a project manager while incharging of
the planning, coordination, execution, control and monitoring of 3-34 storey towers for All
Seasons Place project in 1996.
He joined PBL Group Ltd. as a project manager and was promoted as a senior project manager in
2005. Some key achievements were Hamad Medical City (2006 Asian Games Complex/650,000
sq.m) in Qatar, The Empire Place (45 - storey/55,000 sq.m), Asia Center Building (28-
storey/40,000 sq.m), Medical Excellence Center for Siriraj Hospital (20 - storey/60,000 sq.m),
Sports Center of Thailand (22 - storey/45,000 sq.m), The Circle Condo (40-storey/62,000 sq.m).
